ScotRail announce investment in East of Scotland stations

ScotRail has announced a series of investments at stations in the East of Scotland.

They include the refurbishment and reopening of a former waiting room on the North Berwick-bound platform at Drem. In addition, a cycle rack will be provided at Drem.

In addition, seven stations in the East of Scotland will be repainted during 2011 under the roll out of the new consistent brand for Scotland’s railways. The stations in the new ‘ScotRail, Scotland’s Railway’ unified livery will be – Addiewell, Brunstane, Curriehill, Fauldhouse, Kingsknowe, Larbert, and North Queensferry.

ScotRail also confirmed there will be:

• A new waiting shelter on the Fife-bound platform at South Gyle, and:

• Station entrance clocks at Musselburgh and Newcraighall.

Steve Montgomery, managing director of ScotRail, said: “These investments at stations underpin our commitment to delivering real benefits to our customers.”
