ASLEF action continues at London Midland

London Midland and its passengers are again being ‘held to ransom by the unrealistic demands of ASLEF.’

London Midland will again be operating a reduced timetable this Sunday, March 20, as part of an ongoing dispute between ASLEF (the train drivers’ union) and the company.

Passengers are being advised not to travel on Sunday unless absolutely necessary.

London Midland Director of Operations and Safety, Wallace Weatherill, said: “We apologise to our passengers for the continued impact of the ongoing dispute with ASLEF. We remain committed to negotiating a reasonable set of conditions with the union.

“We continue to work with ASLEF representatives to seek agreement over drivers’ terms and conditions. We would urge the union to encourage their members to work as normal, so we can continue our efforts to reach a deal that is reasonable for everyone.”

Details of Sunday’s reduced timetable are available on the London Midland website.
