Passenger Focus responds to London and South East rail plans

Passenger Focus has fed back to the industry on its long-term plans for the London and South East rail network.

The independent passenger watchdog stressed the importance of ongoing planning as the industry seeks to meet the challenge of long-term forecasts of 30% growth on London and South East trains during morning peak-times.

After reviewing its research with passengers, the watchdog has called for improvements to:

• Punctuality and reliability of trains
• Overcrowding and availability of seats
• Frequency
• Disruption handling
