Free travel for London Marathon runners

Chiltern Railways have announced they are running an extra early morning train for London Marathon runners and that participants can travel for free.

“We have added an early morning train service to the Sunday timetable on 17 April to accommodate entrants travelling early into London.

“This train starts at Aylesbury at 0656 and calls at Princes Risborough at 0709, High Wycombe at 0720, Beaconsfield at 0726, Gerrards Cross at 0732.  It will arrive at London Marylebone at 0756.”

Runners can also receive free travel by showing their official London Marathon tabard.

Spectators to the event could also make use of another additional train service starting from Princes Risborough at 0905 and then calling at High Wycombe at 0916, Beaconsfield at 0922 and Gerrards Cross at 0928.  It will arrive at London Marylebone at 0953.
