London Midland in ‘talks’ with ASLEF

Listen to this article

After weeks of disruption and endless insults back and forth, London Midland have said they are finally in ‘talks’ with the drivers’ union ASLEF.

London Midland say they want to resolve the dispute between themselves and ASLEF over equal pay and conditions for drivers working for the company.

Services are again disrupted this Sunday (April 10) and passengers are advised not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

Hourly services will run from London to Northampton and also between Crewe and Liverpool. Services will also run between Birmingham Snow Hill and Worcester Foregate Street via Droitwich, Kidderminster and Stourbridge.

London Midland is also running hourly services on Birmingham’s Cross City line and the local Stourbridge Shuttle service.

London Midland Director of Operations and Safety, Wallace Weatherill, said:

“We’re sorry that this ongoing dispute is inconveniencing London Midland passengers, but we’re pleased to report we have been in talks with ASLEF and we will continue to work hard to find a resolution.”
