Record breaking Easter for Virgin Trains

Virgin Trains’ advance bookings for Easter are breaking records at around 10% up on last year.

“Our trains are incredibly busy in the run-up to Easter, especially with more people than ever switching from road to rail after recent disruption on the M1,” said Arthur Leathley, Communications Director of Virgin Trains.

“The high demand proves we were right to introduce 32% more trains in our high-frequency timetable just over two years ago. We will add more trains for Maundy Thursday tomorrow, which is expected to be the busiest day for people heading off for a break.”

Virgin Trains link London Euston with the West Midlands, North Wales, North West England and Scotland, and Birmingham with Edinburgh and Glasgow through Cheshire, Lancashire and Cumbria.
