The first Vodafone Union Jack branded Heathrow Express train rolled into action on Saturday 7th May as part of a campaign that coincides with widespread network improvements across London.

Carriages will be wrapped in an iconic Union Jack design, along the length of the train and will bear the slogan ‘Connecting People in 198 Countries’ highlighting Vodafone’s global network at home and abroad.

The design is made up of 600 place names from countries around the world with the first wrapped train in service from Saturday 7th May. The rest of the fleet will be completed in the next six weeks.

Vodafone UK Director of Brand Marketing Danielle Crook said:

“Whether travelling abroad for business or leisure we know that our customers demand the best network coverage. They rely upon Vodafone to keep them connected wherever they are. The Heathrow Express is also renowned for its premium service, it’s a company that also embraces technology and innovation which means it’s the perfect partner for us.”

Over recent months, Vodafone has made heavy investment in improving its network across London, adding new sites and improving existing ones.

Richard Robinson, Managing Director of Heathrow Express added:

“This innovative train wrap creates an eye catching image which is sure to engage our customers. The power of a brand such as Vodafone when placed on a service like Heathrow Express in this distinctly British design will appeal to our UK and international passengers alike.”

Every year the Heathrow Express carries over 5 million customers who benefit from the fastest service to the airport and expect the most reliable coverage from their Network provider.

This does not appear to be the case, as 332002 has only one carriage wrapped as described above.
Whilst the Vodaphone name appears on the ohters.
