Arriva Trains Wales to introduce faster journey times

From 22nd May, Arriva Trains Wales will be introducing their exciting new timetable on routes from West and South Wales through to North Wales and the North of England, offering passengers faster journey times, more frequent services and better connections.

Journeys will be up to 25 minutes quicker, allowing passengers to get more out of their day.

Commercial Director, Mike Bagshaw commented:

“The new timetable means many passengers will benefit from faster and more frequent services. This has been achieved through making more efficient use of track capacity on the rail network, together with improved deployment of our 100mph fleet of trains.

“These changes are provided over and above Arriva Trains Wales’ commitments in its franchise and are at no additional cost to passengers or tax payers.

“The new timetable improvements will encourage more people to try the train. With the cost of petrol remaining high, there are major savings to be had in both money and time saved.”
