Man tries to board a train with pony

A man at Wrexham General station tried to board a train with his pony.

CCTV footage shows the man going up to the ticket desk where he apparently asked for two tickets.

He then took his horse in the lift to the station platform, where they both attempted to board a train before being stopped by shocked.

Unfortunately, horses are not permitted aboard trains on safety grounds, Arriva Trains Wales said.

The man and his four-legged friend tried to travel on Saturday’s 19:02 service to Holyhead on Anglesey.

It’s not known how or if they reached their destination.

Update: Images of the pony in a queue for A&E and in a pub have also surfaced.
