Heathrow Express will continue running through the industrial strike action by members of the RMT.

On Friday 27 May and Saturday 28 May between 08:00 and 20:00 Heathrow Express will be operating a half-hourly service between Paddington Station and Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 via Heathrow Central Terminals 1 and 3.

Journey times will be 15 minutes from Paddington Station to Heathrow Central with a further 6 minutes to Terminal 5.

Richard Robinson, Managing Director of Heathrow Express, explains:

“Our focus is to provide our customers with a regular service to and from the airport during this 48 hour period. We are still offering the fastest way to travel to Heathrow Airport from central London.

“We will have extra staff on our platforms to assist customers and full details of our amended timetable will be available on our website.”

On Friday 27 May and Saturday 28 May before 08:00 and after 20:00 Heathrow Express services will not operate. Customers may travel to the airport using London Underground or licensed taxi.

Standard fares apply to the journey between London Paddington and Heathrow Central Terminals 1 & 3.

Heathrow Express services between Heathrow Central and Terminal 5 are free of charge.

On Friday 27 May and Saturday 28 May between 05:00 and 24:00 a free bus replacement service will be operating between Heathrow Central and Terminal 4 departing every 15 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online, via the free mobile app, or from ticket machines and platform staff at Paddington Station and all Heathrow Airport terminals.

Richard Robinson adds:

“During the pay talks process we have consistently asked the RMT to consider the unnecessary inconvenience to passengers caused by such industrial action.

!We have put forward a good offer which reflects the challenging economic environment and our need to be more efficient. Heathrow Express is an award-winning customer focussed business and we all want to get back to business as normal as soon as we can.”
