Bombardier Transportation to exhibit latest rail equipment at Railtex

Bombardier Transportation will be at Railtex this week to exhibit its comprehensive range of rail equipment, systems and services for the UK.

Highlights include its latest FLEXITY 2 tram, soon to be supplied to Blackpool in its first worldwide application.

It is equipped with FLEXX Urban 3000 bogies which successfully combine 100% low-floor technology with conventional bogies, bringing many performance advantages to tram operators and their passengers.

Also on display will be the high performance ‘proven innovation’ AVENTRA EMU, incorporating the FLEXX Eco bogie.

Radically designed ahead of its time, this is the world’s lightest passenger train bogie in operation with more than 1.5 billion fleet kilometres of proven performance on the UK network.

The FLEXX Eco contributes to 20% reduced mass and more than 45% lower energy consumption over existing UK rolling stock. Bombardier will also present its flagship Very High Speed ZEFIRO EMU – train technology that is currently being delivered for projects in both Italy and China.

The company’s range of signalling products will also be shown including its INTERFLO ERTMS solutions, showcasing EBI Cab on-board equipment and interlocking systems, among others.

Bombardier is committed to the environmental performance of all its products and will present the latest developments in its ECO4 portfolio, representing Energy, Efficiency, Economy and Ecology.

Last but not least, it will show its portfolio of total life-care support solutions, all designed to maximise the asset value of rolling stock.

These include fleet maintenance packages, material supply and technical services.

Bombardier will be on stand E11 this week at Railtex.
