After a record breaking run with four star reviews across the board the play based on E. Nesbit’s classic, ‘The Railway Children,’ has returned to rave reviews at Waterloo Station.

Star of the show is the 60 tonne steam locomotive.

Leading the cast as Station Master Perks is comedian and broadcaster Marcus Brigstocke (Just A Minute, QI and Have I Got News For You). The play has again been staged at the former Eurostar terminal.

The 1,000 seat venue gives audiences direct views across the track.

Damian Cruden’s revival of The Railway Children has been favourably reviewed by the London press, displaying unusual sensitivity to the cause of railways and those who work on them.

The show runs until September.
