ScotRail’s most popular ticket offer is back for Autumn – from 19 September 2011.

This time round, Club 55 customers can save on more than just train travel.

ScotRail has teamed up with Hotel Connexions to offer Club 55 customers up to 60% off at selected hotels.

Customers aged 55 and over the can travel anywhere in Scotland for £19 return. The offer also includes Berwick-upon-Tweed or Carlisle.

Customers can also upgrade to First Class for just £26 return on selected routes with Club 55 Premier.

Graeme Macfarlan, ScotRail’s marketing manager, said:

“Club 55 is our most popular offer. Over 50,000 tickets were sold in last autumn’s promotion.

“This time round, our customers can save money on hotel stays as well. It’s the perfect excuse to book a long weekend before winter sets in.”

Club 55 customers can start their journeys early, provided they do not arrive into Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen or Dundee before 09.30 on weekdays.

The offer runs until 30 November 2011 for outward travel – with return travel valid for one month from the date of the outward journey.

Holders of Senior Railcards or Disabled Persons Railcards who are 55 or over get the additional bonus of a further £2 discount on both fares.
