National Express East Anglia, Parker’s Garden Company and local station adopter Tim Ward have worked together to transform the station garden at Kirby Cross, Essex.

Parkers Garden Company, based in Frinton-on-Sea, have provided complementary plants for a new garden situated at the entrance to Kirby Cross station, and staff from the garden centre were on hand to help plant up the new display, ably assisted by local station adopter Tim Ward.

Daniel Parker, of Parker’s Garden Company said:

“It was great to work with Tim Ward and National Express East Anglia to create a new station garden at Kirby Cross; we hope everyone who passes through the station enjoys the new display.”

The new garden includes colourful favourites such as Primulas and Wall flowers, interspersed by carefully selected shrubs to provide structure and all year round interest.

Mark Tye National Express East Anglia’s Area Manager said:

“We’re really grateful to Parker’s Garden Company for providing the plants and expertise to create the new garden at Kirby Cross station.

“We’ve already had some really positive feedback from our customers about how much they like the new display. It really brightens up the station.”

The new garden compliments recent improvements National Express East Anglia has made at the station including some redecoration and installing a new Customer Information Screen.
