Severe weather causes rail delays

High winds are affecting rail services in Scotland and other parts of the UK.

There are currently no trains to and from Glasgow Central & Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh.

Passengers are advised not to travel as there is currently no replacement road transport available.

No First TransPennine Express trains are running between Carlisle and Edinburgh/Glasgow.

No Virgin Trains services are running between Carlisle and Edinburgh/Glasgow. Passengers are advised not to travel to/from Scotland.

No CrossCountry trains are running between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central/Aberdeen.

Also, no East Coast trains are running between Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

East Coast are also running and amended timetable on some routes and are being affected by a signalling problem between Doncaster and Peterborough.

Flooding is also causing disruption at Trehafod.

Because of this, no trains are currently running between Treherbert and Pontypridd.

A tree on the line is causing disruption at Bellingham so trains between Bromley South and London via Bellingham will be diverted via Herne Hill.
