Ansaldo STS awarded signalling contract for new high speed rail line in France

Ansaldo STS has been awarded a contract to provide signalling systems and services on the new high speed rail line connecting Tours and Bordeaux (South West of France) by INEO (GDF SUEZ Group) and INEXIA (Systra Group).

The value of the contract is €46.7 million.

The scope of work for Ansaldo STS encompasses the design, supply, test and commissioning of signalling systems and related devices to equip the 343 km (of which 40 km interconnections) of new line and allow operations up to 300 km/h.

Ansaldo STS will provide its Interlocking SEI and TVM 300 technologies together with Track Circuits and Hot Box Detectors.

The new high speed line is due to be opened to commercial service by the April 2017.
