National Express train operator c2c has been awarded 4 stars in the British Quality Foundation’s Recognised for Excellence (R4E) programme.

In achieving the R4E 4 stars c2c has worked to implement good working practices under the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Levels of Excellence programme.

This award recognises the operator’s consistent achievements right across its business and high levels of train service performance and customer satisfaction.

Assessors from the British Quality Foundation were impressed by the commitment of everyone at c2c in delivering an effective and efficient service for its customers, by the efforts made to improve environmental awareness and its close working relationships with key partners in ensuring a quality service.

The assessors also noted that c2c is seen by its staff as having a family environment where everyone cares for its customers.

Julian Drury, c2c’s Managing Director said:

“At c2c we’re proud to deliver industry-leading performance, but also recognise that we must continue to improve and deliver even better services for our customers.

“This award for business excellence is therefore particularly welcome as it has – and will continue to – help us deliver these improvements we all want to see.”
