National Express train operator c2c has topped the punctuality chart for the calendar year of 2011.

Rail industry statistics released yesterday show that East London and Essex train operator c2c has achieved 96.7% of trains on time for the 12 months leading up to 14 January 2012.

By achieving these results, c2c has equalled their industry-leading and record-breaking annual punctuality score, first achieved in June 2010.

Julian Drury c2c’s Managing Director said:

“For c2c to top the punctuality league for the whole of 2011 with 96.7% of trains on time, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the c2c team.

“It’s also a wonderful point from which to begin the new year, in 2012 we will strive to improve still further the service we offer our customers in East London and Essex.”
