Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) has awarded a consortium, lead by Alstom, with a signalling contract for phase 2 of the East European LGV (LGV Est) high speed rail line.
Alstom Transport and Legrand SA will carry out ‘all signalling studies and installation work’ on the line in the €40 million contract.
Alstom will also supply most of the signalling equipment and perform testing services.
Phase 2 of the East European LGV includes the construction of 106 km of the high speed rail line between Baudrecourt and Vendenheim.
The new section of the line is aimed to be operational by 2016.
