Train operator East Midlands Trains is launching a social media initiative called ‘Tweet the Senior Team’ on Twitter where passengers can ‘Tweet’ senior managers and provide direct feedback.

The company is holding their first session today between 16:00 and 17:30, and people will receive an ‘immediate response’ to their questions.

All questions and answers will then be posted on the website after the session.

Ian Smith, Customer Service Director for East Midlands Trains, who will be taking part in ‘Tweet the Senior Team’, said:

“We are always pleased to get feedback from our customers to help build on the work we are doing to drive up the quality of rail travel.

“Since the launch of the East Midlands Trains dedicated Twitter page, we have seen the number of people following us continue to grow. We are already providing useful service information to our followers, and we are now keen to use Twitter to engage as much as possible to get first hand feedback from our passengers.”
