Keyline has become the only heavy building materials provider to the rail industry to achieve the Gold Standard of the Freight Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS).

The Transport for London (TfL) initiative aims to improve freight distribution in the capital and the Gold Standard recognises the highest levels of safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility within Keyline’s fleet operation that delivers to Crossrail, TfL and Network Rail sites.

The Gold Standard has been awarded to all businesses within the Travis Perkins Group as a result of meeting industry-leading performance criteria and demonstrating a track record in improving its sustainability.

This includes operational targets based on reducing CO2 emissions and vehicle incidents, improving efficiency and maintaining high levels of health and safety.

Richard Wade, Rail Sector Manager at Keyline said:

“Keyline is committed to the highest levels of safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility to meet the needs of Network Rail, London Underground and Crossrail. Earlier this year we became the first building materials provider to achieve full Crossrail compliance for new health and safety regulations, and this latest award further recognises the high standards we are achieving across our fleet operation.”
