Keltbray Rail awarded £46m Network Rail contract

Keltbray Rail has been awarded a contract to provide Power Supply Upgrade Phase 3A Along Track Works by Network Rail.

Work on the two year contract, which is valued at £46 million, is commencing this month as part of Network Rail’s 10 year investment programme.

The work involved will include the construction of Overhead Line Electrification and incorporates design, civils, signalling and de-vegetation works.

The overall programme will be completed in March 2014 from Keltbray’s facilities in Crewe in Cheshire and Rugby in Warwickshire.

Phill Price, who is Keltbray’s Infrastructure and Rail Managing Director, said:

“The award of this contract is a major step forward in positioning Keltbray Rail as a respected and highly competent project delivery partner within the rail sector.”

The PSU Project Team will be headed up by PSU Project Director, Warren Jones, and will be heavily focussed on delivering the project to the very highest standards, founded on the company’s direct delivery principles utilising its own people and plant.
