Schneider Electric opens new manufacturing facility

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has opened a new manufacturing and Research and Development (R&D) centre for electrical Protection and Control devices in Staffordshire.

Located in Stone, the state-of-the-art facility was officially opened by Andy Taylor, Schneider Electric Infrastructure UK Vice President and Frédéric Godemel, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Automation Senior Vice President.

As part of the investment, the new site will become a key European facility for the manufacture of Schneider Electric’s MiCOM Relay protection range and will see its production delivered worldwide.

At the opening ceremony, Andy Taylor, Energy Vice President for Schneider Electric in UK and Ireland said:

“This is a major investment for the business and demonstrates our commitment to UK and European manufacturing.”

The new site in Stone feature the latest range of products from Schneider Electric including electrical protection, security and electrical fittings to ensure the business contributes to a sustainable and economical working environment.
