Bombardier Transportation is launching a Project Management Academy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The modular education programme is dedicated to training a new generation of skilled Project Managers who will go on to deliver ambitious urban transport projects across the region.

The Academy supports young Saudi National engineering or business professionals and recent graduates who are interested in developing a long-term career in Project Management with Bombardier.

The programme’s content will be aligned with the established and proven Bombardier Project Management System (BPMS) and will include on-the-job training and international assignments at Bombardier sites as well as classroom-based and online tuition.

“At the Bombardier Transportation Project Management Academy, successful applicants will have the opportunity to learn from Project Management specialists. They will benefit from experiencing real life projects in Riyadh and Jeddah through this world leading transportation provider,” said Serge Van Themsche, Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa and Brazil, Systems, Bombardier Transportation.

Bombardier is aiming to recruit up to 10 aspiring young Project Managers for its 2012 programme and then a further intake of participants in the following years.

As Bombardier becomes more deeply established in the Middle East, it is ‘anticipated that the Academy will be launched in other countries across the Gulf Region’.
