On Wednesday 2 May at 13:10, Tim Fields, Civil Engineering Technical Manager at Anderton Concrete Products Ltd will be presenting ‘Dry Stack Retaining Walls – Applications in the Rail Industry’ at Infrarail.

The increase in the modernisation, re-development and new investment in the UK infrastructure has put the spotlight firmly on groundworks.

This, in turn, has created a whole raft of new challenges associated with the selection of cost effective, aesthetically pleasing and sustainable retaining wall and slope reinforcement solutions that are often required on projects within this sector.

This seminar will showcase these proven products which have been recently been incorporated into the Anderton Concrete Product Range, their possible applications, from embankments and modest retaining walls to substantial highly-loaded structures which can support bridges and railway tracks.

The seminar will also include a review of recently completed projects relevant to the rail industry.

Anderton Concrete’s name is well known within the rail industry, having supplied products across the UK for 15 years.

Tim Fields has 20 years experience in the construction industry, with the last 10 years spent in a technical advisory role for concrete products manufacturers.

He has sat on numerous regulatory committees and industry advisory groups, and has an in-depth knowledge of production methods, 2D and 3D CAD design and product development.
