Tensar is appointing Mala Nanda as Vice President and General Manager Asia Pacific, in a company move which ’emphasises its commitment to the area’.

“Mala’s track record is second to none in developing volume and profitability in the construction products industry,” comments Robert Vevoda, Chief Operating Officer, Tensar Corporation.

“The Asia Pacific region is a priority for Tensar, and she will be reporting directly to me, as head of an experienced regional team covering China, South East Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand.”

Based in Shanghai, Mala Nanda has ‘exceptional experience in the construction supply sector, particularly her impressive progress with Owens Corning since 1994, latterly becoming General Manager, Asia Pacific South and winning company awards’.

Her brief there included developing and investing in the Indian sub-continent, and developing the Australian market.

Mala’s education includes a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science and an MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.

Her wide industrial experience ranges from IT and production line management as well as entrepreneurial retail development.
