Heathrow Express experienced a four per cent rise in passenger journeys following the closure of the M4.

The M4 motorway in west London was closed for a week as emergency repairs were carried out to the Boston Manor Viaduct after crack was found in a highly stressed part of the bridge supports.

After the closure was announced, radio traffic announcements were broadcast which highlighted the 15-minute Heathrow to Paddington service to drivers travelling to and from central London.
