Algeo joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed Richard Algeo to the rail business technical leadership team in charge of delivering engineering services on major rail infrastructure projects.

Algeo has more than 30 years’ experience of major civil engineering design on railway and other transportation projects.

Much of his most recent experience has been on railway and light rail projects, including roles as design manager (civils and structures) on the S$5 billion Singapore Mass Rapid Transit North-East Line, senior consultant on the Midland Metro tram system, design manager on the Stratford International extension of the Docklands Light Railway, and latterly as Network Rail interface manager on HS2.

Algeo said: “I am delighted to be joining Parsons Brinckerhoff’s established and successful rail business at a time when it is involved in such a range of major projects across the UK and overseas.

“I am very much looking forward to being involved in the successful delivery of quality design solutions and tackling the challenges presented by complex engineering projects.”
