French rail chiefs have called Rihanna irresponsible after she tweeted her arrival time and platform at Gare du Nord in Paris.
In the ensuing riot fans besieged the station as the star with just one bodyguard arrived on a Eurostar. Screaming youngsters flocked to the station on a Saturday night to catch a glimpse of her.
A security chief said, ‘It was absolute chaos, and all Rihanna’s fault. Fans had her train number and its arrival time. The result was a mass of people waiting on the platform.’
Major stars including Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney regularly use Eurostar to slip into Paris and Brussels finding it a more discreet way of arriving than the closely monitored airports.
