Network Rail has said it will not be making any immediate changes to IAD Rail Systems after acquiring the points manufacturer from parent company Claverham Ltd.

The purchase includes a transfer of employment for all IAD Rail Systems staff.

Martin Elwood, director of Network Rail’s national delivery service, said: “The purchase of IAD Rail Systems will enable Network Rail to continue to develop IAD’s products to achieve the highest levels of reliability, availability, maintainability and safety.”

IAD Rail Systems specialises in the design, integration, qualification and manufacture of points operating equipment, including the High Performance Switch Actuator (HPSA) and Power Link Backdrive products used throughout Network Rail’s infrastructure.

IAD Rail systems will be part of Network Rail’s national delivery service and will continue to be located in Claverham Ltd’s premises near Bristol pending a move to new premises in the same area.
