Police have released an e-fit image of a man who was struck by a train and killed between Tonbridge and Paddock Wood stations last month.
Officers were called to the line close to Postern Lane, Tonbridge, at 7.10am on September 29 after a report of a body on the tracks. Medics from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He is described as aged between 50 and 60 years old, of slim build and around 5’7 inches in height. His hair is thick, dark brown and greying at the sides.
British Transport Police (BTP)Detective Inspector Ashley Cooper said: “The man was found on the tracks underneath a road bridge, his death is currently being treated as unexplained as we continue to work to establish his identity. He had no identification on him and his fingerprints were not on the police database.”
The man was wearing black Wrangler jeans, a black Wrangler t-shirt, a grey-green round neck heavy knitted jumper made by Kilspindie of Scotland, and black Reebok Classic trainers and green socks.
DI Cooper added: “It is crucial that we establish the identity to allow us to inform his family. Our enquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident, and this is why I am asking for the public’s help.”
