Olympics’ transport boss Richard George has been announced as the new managing director of Interfleet.
George will take over from current managing director David Rollin, who has led the company for almost 20 years, in February next year.
In his most recent role, George was director of transport at the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
Outgoing managing director David Rollin took up his position at Interfleet Technology in 1994 before the management buy-out of the company from British Rail was completed in 1996.
During this period the company grew from a 99-employee Derby operation to an international industry leader.
