Rail industry supplier SigAssure UK has bought out parts manufacturer Mann Engineering following months of discussions between the two firms.

Richard Merrills, managing director of SigAssure UK, said: “This was seen as a strategic purchase ever since benefiting from the excellent quality offered to our products being manufactured in-house from Mann Engineering.

“This new addition to the ever-expanding portfolio of capabilities in the international rail market allows better and quicker control of our new products, and where our customers are wanting us to help them with in an ever-more innovative market.”

The sale and takeover was completed on January 2.

Mann Engineering, now SigAssure Engineering Ltd, will continue to operate out of Ollerton, Nottinghamshire – adjacent to Network Rail’s Rail Innovation Track Facility.
