Bombardier to supply next generation metro trains to Stockholm

Stockholm’s public transport authority, SL, has awarded a 590 million euro contract to deliver the city’s new fleet of metro trains to Bombardier.

Ninety-six new four-car driverless MOVIA trainsets will make up Stockholm’s new C30 fleet when they arrive in Sweden between 2016 – 2017.

Bombardier has built trains for the Swedish capital for over 60 years, manufacturing the widely-used C20 vehicles (shown in the picture above).
