Indra awarded South American ticketing contracts

Indra has won two ticketing contracts in South America worth over €5 million.

The projects cover the installation of barriers and ticket validation systems at 11 new stations on São Paulo’s Line 5 extension (€1.4 million) and support services for the ticketing system on the Santiago subway, Chile (€3.9 million).

Although Indra has been a supplier to Metro de Santiago for almost 10 years, Sao Paulo represents a big win in the Brazilian market, with Sao Paulo alone planning to more than triple the size of its metro network by 2030.

Indra will provide maintenance and support services to Santiago Metro for the next five years under the new contract.
