Evraz has received has received approval to supply its rail products for conventional and high-speed lines in Europe.
TUV Rheinland InterTraffic, an independent testing body, has certified the company’s 60E1 and 60E2 rail profiles.
Founded in Moscow, Evraz supplies primarily to the Russian market. The rails will be manufactured at the company’s Evraz ZMSK rolling mill in Western Siberia.
Aleksey Ivanov, Evraz’s vice president and head of the steel division, said: “Having the TSI-compliant rail types certified opens key export markets to EVRAZ.
“Thanks to the capabilities of the new mill and flexible production processes, the company can materially broaden its product range, adding niche products.
“Currently our team keeps working on new rail profiles, including head-hardened rails for low temperatures.”
