ProRail appoints new CEO

Pier Eringa, a former police chief, has been appointed as the new chief executive of Dutch infrastructure manager ProRail.

Eringa takes over from interim boss Patrick Buck who has been standing in since Marion Gout-Sinderen resigned in July, 2014.

Previously, Eringa has held senior positions within Dutch Railways and Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) and was chief of police for the Flevoland province.
