Hollysys Automation Technologies has been awarded a USD $95 million contract to supply Automatic Train Protection (ATP) systems for high-speed trains in China.

By June, onboard ATP equipment for 20 high-speed trains with operating speeds of 200-250 km/h and 40 sets of between 300-350 km/h will have been delivered to Chinese manufacturers.

Hollysys said in a statement that it expects an additional ATP contract to be finalised in the near future.

Hollysys said: “We feel excited about the significant high-speed rail contract win, which demonstrates our solid technology capability and key market position.

“In the future, Hollysys will continue to work closely with the China Railway Corporation and national railway authorities, leveraging its strong R&D capability, effective management and high-quality products and service, make more contribution to China’s railway construction and explore the vast rail and subway opportunities both in China and abroad, and create value for our shareholders.”
