MÁV-Start orders more Flirt EMUs

Hungarian national rail operator MÁV-Start has selected Stadler Bussnang as the preferred supplier of 21 new Flirt EMUs.

Two separate tenders were issued by the Ministry of National Development in March for six and 15 electric train sets to operate services to Budapest.

Stadler Bussnang was the winner of both tenders, which are being funded by two different pots of EU funding.
