Nordjyske Jernbane orders regional DMUs

Danish operator Nordjyske Jernbane has placed a €45 million for 13 regional diesel trains.

The two-car DMUs, which will be built in Salzgitter, Germany, will operate primarily on the Nordjyllands network.

Due to go into passenger service in 2017, the trains, which are based on the Coradia Lint platform of vehicles, will have a seating capacity of 125 and a standing capacity of 135.

The trains will have a maximum operating speed of 140 km/h.
