Argentina’s Minister of Interior and Transportation has been to the Port of Buenos Aires to see the arrival of the first new Chinese DMUs for the Belgrano Sur line.

Randazzo said the new carriages will contribute to one of the most important railway modernisation projects in the last 50 years.

Chinese manufacturer CNR is supplying 27 new three-car DMUs for the Buenos Aires commuter line.

On July 7, Randazzo said the new trains will be operating passenger services within the next 45 days.
