PKP Intercity has presented its new FLIRT 3 intercity EMUs to passengers at Katowice station.
Due to come into service in December, Stadler and Newag have built 15 of 20 new 160 km/h trains which will operate between a number of major cities in Poland.
The new trains will operate on the Warsaw – Bydgoszcz, Olsztyn – Krakow, Gdynia – Katowice and Krakow – Szczecin lines.
Fifteen units are now complete, with the remaining five in an advanced phase of production. One of the trains is currently completing final testing in Austria.
