MTA has completed its $2.42 billion 7 Line extension to Manhattan’s West Side with the opening of a new station at Hudson Yards – the first new station to be added to New York’s subway system since 1989.
Construction began on the extension, which takes the 7 Line beyond Times Square to 34th Street & 11th Avenue, in 2007. It is the first time tunnel boring machines (TBMs) have been used to construct subway tunnels in New York City.
The project has extended the Flushing Line west from Times Square to the site of the Hudson Yards development – a luxury mixed-use riverside development.
MTA chairman and chief executive Thomas Prendergast was joined by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, MTA Capital Construction president Dr Michael Horodniceanu, New York City Transit interim president James L attended at an opening ceremony at the new 34 St-Hudson Yards 7Â Station.
It is the first new station to be added to the network since the opening of the Lexington Av-63 St, Roosevelt Island and 21 St-Queensbridge stations in 1989.
The 2.4-kilometre extension will benefit from the arrival of CBTC signalling in 2017, which is being installed to meet growing passenger demand in Queens and on the far West Side.
Your headline is wrong. While the station is open, it is not completed. Only the southern entrance is open. The north entrance isn’t scheduled to be finished for few more years.
Why did the person filming not just put down the camera and shoot the swine in the face?It is the right and humane thing to doirCngoatulat.on on your second year, sir!
obviously like your web site however you have to check the spelling on several of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I find it very troublesome to inform the reality on the other hand I will surely come again again.
It was SUCH a fun shower, especially this time of year! The twinkle lights made it feel so fancy, and girly, and holiday-ish! (PS. that collage of food pictures made me laugh out loud and crave something chocolate-y all at the same time). Thanks for such a fabulous (and delicious) shower:)!
Oi Rafaela, muito bom o seu artigo. Mais acho que a primeira coisa que se deve pensar é na ortografia, errar na ortografia, além de ficar ridÃÂculo, atrapalha o SEO.

Nice video. I wish our snow would hang around longer. Seems like the snows gone before the milk & bread sell out. Oh well, I guess I will have to live vicariously through the chamois of another man.Watch that brain freeze!Peace,Metro
