Bombardier has launched its new metro product, Movia Maxx, and next-generation regional train platform, Talent 3, at InnoTrans this week.

The latest in its line of Movia metro trains, the Maxx is a new high-capacity train concept for the urban rail market.

Bombardier will supply Maxx trains in three to eight-car configurations.

Talent 3 is the third generation of Talent regional trains, but it will be the first to use Bombardier’s Primove technology, allowing catenary-free operation.

Laurent Troger, president of Bombardier Transportation, said: “We see InnoTrans as an opportunity to engage with our customers and better understand their needs.

“Today, countries and governments all across the globe are confronted with similar challenges: urbanization, pollution, digitalisation, and population growth, particularly in emerging markets.

“Rail is already playing a key role in solving these issues but it can do more.

“At Bombardier Transportation, inventing better ways to move people in and between cities is at the heart of everything we do. Finding the right mobility solutions to our customers’ challenges is what drives us.”
