First Capital Connect has this week teamed up with Stevenage Football Club to donate tickets to home football matches to children’s charities in the London, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire regions.

Over the past year FCC has been supporting young footballers training for their scholarships at Stevenage Football Club with free travel passes.

The players, aged between 15 and 19, are travelling on FCC services to and from training and match days during the week and at weekends. In return Stevenage FC has given FCC football tickets to home matches this season.

FCC and Stevenage FC would like to see these tickets be used to provide days out for local children or as fundraising prizes to help raise much needed funds.

First Capital Connect will also be providing free transport to any groups wishing to travel by rail.

Clive Abrey, Stevenage FC’s Commercial Manager, said:

“On behalf of Stevenage FC I would like to thank First Capital Connect for their continued support. We are pleased that they are putting the tickets to a good cause.”

In the coming weeks FCC will be writing to local charities offering them the tickets.

However, if you work for a children’s charity and would like tickets to a Stevenage Football Club home match then please contact Paul Oxley at [email protected].
