In order to get passengers’ feedback on the rail infrastructure projects developed under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) phase I & II, the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has initiated a survey programme.

MRVC, in association with Wilbursmith Associates, started the Mumbai Suburban Rail Passenger Survey and Analysis on November 21 and this is likely to continue for the next 3 months, MVRC said.

The survey will focus on In-Train Rail Passenger Boarding/Alighting, which will look into trains, stations, sections, corridors were maximum passengers are travelling and requires immediate attention; Customer Satisfaction, on how the existing services can be improved to provide better comfort to passengers; Alighting Distribution; Passenger Entry/Exit and Passengers counts on Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) during peak and non peak hours.

The survey will cover suburban trains and 37 selected stations, which includes Churchgate, Mumbai Central, Ghatkopar, Bhandup, Mulund, and Airoli stations.
