Public to have say on rail policing in South Wales

Rail passengers in South East Wales have the chance to ‘have their say’ on how the rail network is policed in their area.

British Transport Police are holding drop-in surgeries this week to find out what issues are affecting train passengers in the region.

Inspector Gary Ash, who is in charge of BTP’s Welsh Neighbourhood Policing Teams, said:

“The meeting is a great opportunity for people to chat with us, their local officers, and talk about problems they might have experienced on – or away from – the railway.

“We are happy to discuss any issues which impact on people’s quality of life and will listen to any concerns or comments passengers may have about policing and crime on the railways or at the stations. We will also be providing information and advice on how to avoid becoming a victim of crime.”
