Scomi signs Brazil monorail contract

Scomi Engineering, part of Scomi Group, has signed a contract along with three consortium partners to design and construct a monorail system for the Manaus area of Brazil.

Scomi Engineering, CR Almedia, Mendes Junior and Serveng will design and build the 20 km straddle monorail.

Under the consortium, Scomi’s scope of works will involve the design and supply of rolling stock and depot equipment, system integration and project management.

Hilmy Zaini Zainal, Scomi Brazil Country President said:

“With the Manaus project, we continue to further consolidate our position to provide innovative urban transport solutions in Brazil.”
