NSARE is holding Railshows throughout the UK aimed primarily at Further and Higher Education organisations and employers in the rail sector.

The rail industry has enjoyed a period of unprecedented growth over the past 20 years and the predictions are that this level of growth will escalate over the next decade and beyond. To facilitate this growth a new generation of railway technicians and engineers will be needed.

The Railshows offer the opportunity for the FE and HE sectors to engage with both the National Skills Academy for Railway Engineering and employers to understand the potential opportunities.

The four events are:

Monday 27th February – London – Lumen URC Bloomsbury

Thursday 1st March – York – National Railway Museum

Tuesday 6th March – Cardiff – Millennium Centre

Thursday 8th March – Crewe – Virgin Talent Academy

Each event will commence at 2pm with Registration and refreshments from 1pm.

Additional dates will be added where there is sufficient local demand.

Speakers will include Gil Howarth, Chief Executive and Bill Alexander, Head of Training & Skills.

They will present the new ‘Skills Strategy for the Railway Engineering Sector’, which is in the process of being endorsed by the NSARE Board for submission to Government.

They will also present up-to-date progress reports on current NSARE activities including Membership, Industry Promotion, Skills Forecasting, Training Accreditation and the Skills Passport.

If you are interested in attending any of the events please register by contacting Violetta at [email protected]
