Hatch End London Overground station has been revealed as the ‘Small Station of the Year’ at a plaque unveiling ceremony following its win at the prestigious National Rail Awards.
Hatch End, which is located on the Watford Junction to Euston line, was recognised at the awards for its transformation into a model urban commuter station.
LOROL customer service director David Wornham, who unveiled the plaque at Hatch End station, said: “Over the last five years we have worked tirelessly with Transport for London to make the London Overground the success it is now. We have transformed poorly performing routes with run-down stations into a smart, safe, punctual and record-breaking network which carries millions of people every year.
“We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible service and are delighted that Hatch End has been recognised as the best small station in the UK to do this. This award recognises the hard work and commitment everyone who works for Hatch End station and across rest of the network have put in to making the London Overground the most reliable metro-style railway in the UK.”
